OVENS.......
.....NOT for decoration only.
If you have read Shopgirl's blog in the past, I am sure you have surmised that the POSSESSED oven saga continues. The problem is, its a DIFFERENT freaking oven this time. The initial POSSESSED oven is named Vulcan. This time it is the Wolf that is being unfaithful. These ovens can be working just fine and then for no apparant reason, just......well.....QUIT! It's as if they go on strike if we use them too much. We would really much rather that both ovens work each and every time. After all, they really are NOT for decoration only.
Now, first thing in the morning, when we have 90 servings of tater tots and chicken patties for chicken patties, needing to go into the oven, the last thing anyone wants to hear is " This FREAKING oven is cold", when it is clearly set to 350 degrees. We holler for help and the offending oven is ripped open and apart and eventually set to rights. We did manage to get lunch off in record time.
Lunch today: Tater-Tots, Chicken Pattie Sandwich, Carrots, Apple Slices and Chocolate Cupcake.
We are a bit on edge this week as we are prepping for 3 events slated for Saturday. Yesterday we cooked off the 500 pieces of chicken. Today, while I was off playing Lunch Lady, Bro cut enough red potatoes to fill 4 lexans full and when I got back after lunch, he and I worked to fill 3 more. That is a lot of potatoes. There isn't room for much of anything else in either Door #1 or Door # 2 of the 3-Door "Let's Make A Deal" refrigerator. I am almost afraid to see what tomorrow holds where the Saturday events are concerned.
Based on the comment of a reader, Shopgirl tried the Very Berry juice today to see if perhaps it is a bad vintage or the like. I think it tastes like purple. Not one of my favorite flavours. I didn't throw up or pass out, so I am guessing that it can't be that bad. I did have a couple kids specifically tell me today that the Very Berry is their favorite. I will continue to keep an eye on the Juice situation and report in when there is a break in the case.
Scoop ya soon,

Time to call in Max von Sydow or Richard Burton and perform an excorism? Or are you just going to rename the ovens Linda Blair and Reagan (Linda's character)?
I think maybe it's time to call in the priests ... LOL

Oh, and when it happened, was "Tubular Bells" playing on the shop audio?

The thing is shopgirl is you did to do a Charles Bronson or Clit Eastwood and pull out the 45 and maybe say did I shoot 6 or 5 I lost count...do you feel lucky today?
As far as the juice tasting purple...you think maybe it is a Barney thing and the kids just hate him?
But the important thing is you feed the kids with healthy meals and great deserts and I am sure they love you for it.
