Job Security According To Bro.....
....... or 500 scoops for shopgirl.
Yes, that is right. According to Bro, Job Security for Shopgirl is lexans of freshly mixed cookie dough just waiting for shopgirl to scoop. The image below is a pictorial from freshly mixed dough to final product: the baked Chocolate Chip Cookie.
From left to right the pictures show:
1. Freshly mixed dough
2. Dough awaiting scooping
3. Scooped dough on a full sheet pan ready to be put in the freezer.
4. Frozen scooped dough ready to go when a cookie (or 4 dozen) is needed.
5. Fresh from the oven.
6. The Chocolate Chip Cookie in all its glory.
Shopgirl scoops an incredible amount of cookie dough when the need arises. The above pictured 2 stacked lexans yielded over 500 scooped cookies. Those 500 scoops were done in about 2.5 hours. Once the cookie dough is scooped they are put into the freezer overnight to harden up and then transfered to a lexan to await any cookie need. Currently there are 4 different types of cookie dough in the freezer. The above Choco Chip and Choco Chip with Pecans, as well as Sugar and Peanut Butter. This process will easily be repeated by the end of the month, if not sooner.
In case anyone is wondering, Shopgirl IS the Cookie Scoop Queen. (might be time to bring out the tiara again!!) Sigh! Job Security, eh?
Well, at least I have a job as long as people want cookies. giggle!
In addition to the 500 scoops of cookies, Shopgirl also baked off 80 Sugar Cookies for lunch tomorrow and 2 additional Choco Chip and Choco Chip/Pecans.
The tremendous task of the day was the preparation for the weddings and caterings that are occuring on Saturday. Bro and I cooked off, cut up and stored into the fridge over 500 Breasts of Chicken today in about 3 hours. By the time we were done, the smell of chicken was starting to make me feel a bit sick. I do not think I will be wanting chicken any time soon.
Shopgirl is tired and needs a cocktail.
Scoop ya soon.

Wow! You are picking up speed! The cookies were done at a rate of 3.333 scoops per minute and the chicken breasts were done at a rate of 2.7/minute!
I guess it is true - practice DOES make perfect ;)
And as long as you're making cocktails - can I get one too?
