Soup Scoop.....

.....or scooping soup.

Shopgirl made the soup today for grilled cheese and tomato basil soup lunch. YUMMY!
Kids love having the soup to dunk the grilled cheese into.

To date, I have not been tasked to make soup before but Bro had to go run errands first thing and so I offered to put the soup on. He gave me the recipe and I was set. I use the word "gave" lightly as what he did was rattle off what goes in the soup followed by a quick overview of how to go about the process. Preparing the soup came off without a hitch and tasted as good as his. A friend of Bro's was in the shop after lunch and she had soup as well. She had two servings and I had kids coming back for seconds in the lunch line, so it couldn't have been that bad, eh?

So, here is the problem with working in the shop. I now know how to make soup.......for a million. If I ever decide to make soup for someone, I am going to have to invite in the neighborhood to help finish off the soup. Any recipe that starts with a pound of butter and two cups of flour is going to make a huge quantity of whatever is going into the ginormous pot.

On the home front, I actually have a new globe on the overhead light in my bathroom. GASP! Its only been sans globe for in excess of 4 years now. All I can say is, "its about damn time!".

Scoop ya later,

Who on earth are you sous chef for? Paula Dean? :D

As far as the globe, either the Apocolypse is about to happen, or you have managed to be witness to a true miracle, huh?
