Just so you know

When you phone the cable company @ 0015 hours to attempt to get a status report on the cable and internet connections you seem to have lost, its never good when the following conversation occurs.

Bobby: Thank you for calling TWC, this is Bobby. How may I help you?

Me: What can you tell me about the cable outages I have?

Bobby: What is out?

Me: Both my Internet and TV are long gone.

Bobby: You are in Indio, aren't you?

Me: *laughing* Well this can't be good since you know where I live w/o getting any of my pertinent info, can it?

Bobby: *laughing* Nope.

Me: sigh

Bobby: Is there anything else I can help you with?

WTF?
Anything else you can help me with? Did you help me with my cable/internet outages? NO, you did NOT. So unless you are going to come over and mow my outrageously overgrown lawn or clean my pool, NO, there is NOTHING else you can help me with.

I still had no cable or internet when I got up this morning @ 06:20. TWC finally figured out what the problem was and got it fixed because it was all back up and running by the time I got back to my house @ 0900 hours.

The total outage potential is by far the most significant reason why I have yet to bite the bullet and sign up for cable phone service. I lost two full services early this morning. If I had cable phone, 50% of my utilities in the house would have been out of service. Sheesh!

~ And what the heck kind of name is "Bobby" for a grown man?

I was "skirted"? I don't know if I want to know what that means. (keep in mind this is a family blog) I hope its nothing like being "pantsed".

I am so happy that lack of internet/cable amuses you so.

    *giggle*

BTW - I never get the good code words!
    Its not fair!

    *tossing hairs and stomping off*

As JR said to Jock Ewing when told that his brother would become President of Ewing Oil: "I'm happy for Bobby, daddy."

    Well Guys,

Those examples of grown up Bobby's are all fine and good, but I am telling you, as a woman, I hear the name "Bobby" and I think little boy.

Besides, wasn't Dallas all just a dream?
