Weekend Wrapup

The Boy: (looking at me with an eyebrow raised)
Mom, you are a Sous Chef with a SPORTS problem,
NOT just a football problem!
I dunno what all the fuss was about. I wasn't making THAT much noise. heh heh!

It has been a Sports-filled weekend, watching the NFL draft as well as Lakers/Suns playoff games. Lakers are now up 3 games to 1 as they take this series back to PHX. They will surely win one in PHX to take the best of seven.

I was happy to see that two of my Sundevils were picked up in the draft. I hope they do well as they move on from College Ball to play with the Big Boys. Derek Hagan went to the Miami Dolphins in the 3rd round and Jamal Williams went to the Chicago Bears in the 4th round. Good Luck to them both!

Dallas picked up 8 new players in the draft. As a diehard Cowboys fan, I can only hope that they will have an awesome season this year.

Round 1 - Bobby Carpenter (OLB) Ohio State
Round 2 - Anthony Fasano (TE) Notre Dame

Round 3 - Jason Hatcher (DE) Grambling
Round 4 - Skyler Green (WR) LSU

Round 5 - Patrick Watkins (S) Florida State
Round 6 - Montavious Stanley (DT) Louisville

Round 7 - Pat McQuistan (OG) Weber State
Round 7 - EJ Whitley (OT) Texas Tech

Ah yes, it was indeed a sports filled weekend - and my own team posted the best opening record in MLB - tieing a club record

I can only hope they don't catch that August virus from the other side of town.

The Lakers game was awesome, tho - what a finish!
