What to do.....

....with 100 plus brownie bites (think mini muffins) that will not come out of the pan nicely?

Well, ya gotta be quick when your lunch dessert has just taken a turn for the worse and you only have a few hours before time to serve and there are other food items that also need prepping. So, what DO you do? You scrape the offending brownie bites out of the pans and into serving tins, add sliced strawberries, top with whipped cream and Voila! You have a brownie strawberry shortcake that would have any brownie/strawberry lover crossing their fingers in hopes of leftovers. (finger crossing must work as there was indeed leftovers) The kids totally enjoyed the dessert once they figured out what it was. At first glance we heard a lot of "WHAT is THAT?" and "I don't want dessert" which, upon receiving an explanation, more often than not turned into "oh, that sounds yummy" and "yes, I do want dessert now".

Todays "scoop" was all about the Baked Ziti, Garlic Bread, Salad, Apple Slices and the aforementioned Brownie Strawberry Shortcake. How many scoops? By my estimation over 500 total Scoops today.

Oh yeah, BTW, the Brownie Strawberry Shortcake is scrumptious!

Scoop ya later,
